Gerry Freedom’s career has been spinning since the 1980s. Starting at a very early age, he gained years of experience working his way up from being a rookie DJ in Highland Park, California, spinning at house parties, high school dances, and engaging in DJ battles with his brothers and high school friends. Gerry also honed his skills alongside notable DJ artists such as Richard Vission, AJ Mora, and DJ Irene.

As his career progressed, Gerry held residencies at some of the hottest nightclubs and venues across L.A., Hollywood, and Orange County, including Club 1 Oak (formerly The Key Club), Giggles, The Mayan, Florentine Gardens, Club Blu, The Palace, and Club Soho. His talent and reputation also earned him press interviews on UP N CH13 news, Street Beat Magazine, Powertools Mix Show (Power 106FM), and Mun2TV (The L.A. Connection).

Gerry interned, worked, and mixed on air at major radio stations such as Power 106FM, La Onda 106.3FM, and even co-hosted and produced the Insomnio Mix Show, an after-hours mix show for the former Viva 107.1FM. He also spun on a weekly radio show on U92.7FM in Palm Springs. Given that his father broke into the radio business in the mid-1950s, it’s no surprise that Gerry and his brothers have always been deeply connected to the radio and entertainment industries.

In 1993, Gerry decided to shift focus in the DJ industry, becoming a Mobile DJ/MC entertainer performing at weddings, corporate events, quinceañeras, and sweet sixteen’s. This led him to land major contracts with large corporations like Disneyland and the L.A. Galaxy, which found his performances more appealing than his years of nightclub and mobile events with his brothers under the companies known as “G Entertainment,” “Studio G Pro Entertainment,” and “SoCal Pro Entertainment.”
